Kelly-Anne Lyons
Biography
US-born actress and comedy writer Kelly-Anne Lyons is a face to look out for in 2012 after her successful roles playing opposite children’s favourites Dick and Dom on the BBC and in MTV’s much lauded Flash Prank.
She is no stranger to comedy roles, as she is well known for playing the title role in the online sitcom Chelsey OMG! produced by renowned Comedy veterans Channel X. As a ditzy American twenty-something getting to grips with British culture, Kelly-Anne’s charm, 100-mile-an-hour delivery and natural comic timing helped the series accrue millions of views.
Kelly-Anne was born and raised on America’s east coast with her family settling in New Jersey. Performing arts quickly became the mainstay of Kelly-Anne’s life as she excelled in ballet, song and dance and acting as a teenager and trained at Weist Barron School for Film & TV whilst attending university in New York City.
In New York she began to model alongside acting and was quickly head-hunted by a London-based agency, encouraging her move to the UK after graduating. Among the brand campaigns she modelled for were Special K, The Body Shop, Fila, Fitness First and John Lewis.
However, acting has always been her focal point and her credits on stage include playing in Footloose, Father of the Bride, Much Ado About Nothing and performing in The Nutcracker.
