When I launched my healthcare recruitment firm Team24 back in 2005, I had a clear vision of where I wanted it to go and how quickly I wanted the business to grow and develop. I sat down with my start-up management team and we put together the business plan for what Team24 was going to be. Michael Jarman writes in Management Today

'David Cameron's euro opt-out was a triumph' The UK is divided on David Cameron's so-called veto on the EU treaty. But was it a smart stratagem or an act of short-sighted stupidity? Michael Jarman, equities trader at H2O Markets, presents the view from the City.   Imagine that the Chinese demanded they be given the legal right to override the US budget legislative process. Hu Jintao says that he should have the right impose tax hikes and spending cuts on the American people as and when needed. There would be uproar. I’m adamant that if Cameron had returned to the UK after agreeing to the treaty ...

Creche at Bar 'would help women to be top barristers' Mothers need this useful change LONDON'S barristers were today urged by their own watchdog to set up a nursery in the heart of the capital's legal world to help more women reach the top of the profession. Baroness Deech, chairwoman of the Bar Standards Board, said that she was "really very annoyed" that no crèche had been provided to help mothers combine childcare with their demanding working lives. Leading criminal barrister and mother of three Felicity Gerry called the absence of a nursery in the centre of London's legal world "outdated". She said: "A nursery in ...
